Assistant Producer at Theatr Clwyd

Theatr Clwyd, Wales’ foremost producing theatre, was where I cut my teeth as a Producer. Between 2018-2021, I line produced several new commissions including A Christmas Carol, For The Grace of You Go I, Gwrach Yr Iâ, and Worlds Apart in War, a two year audio, video and live theatre installation with the National Trust at Powis Castle.

I held Assistant Producing duties across 3 Pantomimes and led on capturing the show for local care homes. I supported on the site-specific outdoor community show Mold Riots and as AP on Pavilion, Home, I’m Darling (co-produced with the National Theatre). I had the joyous job of programming touring theatre, music, comedy, film and spoken word into the venues’ studio spaces and produced some of the first live events in Wales after lockdown one, as part of the Welsh Government COVID-safe pilot outdoor season 2020. I supported artist and writer development programme TYFU|GROW, and was the founder of new digital artist networking programme A Chance Encounter during lockdown.

So much of my understanding of the craft of theatre came from my time spent with the ridiculously lovely and talented team at Clwyd. I was trusted to run with things but always felt supported and knew I could ask as many questions as I needed. Clwyd surely has the best views from any theatre in the UK - and a part of me will always be at the Glas Fryn or up Moel Famau (if you know, you know)!
